This is the form to use to RSVP as a participant in the upcoming TolkienMoot convention.

Please take just a few moments to fill out this online RSVP registration form so that we can be prepared for you.

Admission for 2010 is free of charge but RSVP is required.

TolkienMoot 2010 takes place this August 13th, 14th, & 15th. With pre-convention activities on Thursday August 12th and post convention activities on Monday August 16th.

Tolkien Moot 2010 is taking place in the "East-West Fitness World and Spokane Kungfu For Life" school building on 1506 North Monroe, Spokane, Washington, USA. Many thanks to their kind donation of their facilities to help keep this event freely available this year.

Food Preferences/Restrictions

Please select any food preferences or restrictions you may have. Tolkien Moot does not control what food types are brought to the event, so if you have severe food proximity allergies (such as nuts), please be aware we can NOT make any guarantees that such allergens will not be at the event (very likely in fact), so please bring/take any necessary precautions (Epi-pen, medication taken in advance, etc.). However, if catering or food is provided, this list will help us in determining what menu options to offer.

Residency

Where will you be residing during the event? Local resident means you already reside in the greater Spokane/WA or Coeur d'Alene area and will not be residing elsewhere during the event. Friend or Family means you will be staying at a friend's or family's location. Hotel/Motel means you will be staying at a hotel or motel in the area (NOTE: Please check the Tolkien Moot website for special event pricing at local hotels/motels). Hostel means you have made arrangements to "crash" at somebody's place (such as Hawke's) during the event. Unknown means you do not yet know where you will be staying. Other means it is not listed, but you know. For Unknown or Other, please provide additional information in the comments section.

T-shirt size (Required)

We might NOT be providing t-shirts this year, but in case we do, please select the size of t-shirt you prefer. T-shirts will be $20 each. If enough participants request shirts, then we can order them. These shirts would have the Tolkien Moot logo on them, and possibly other writing or original artwork. Please indicate if you would be interested in such a shirt or not, and what size. ONLY THOSE PHYSICALLY ATTENDING THE EVENT ONSITE ARE ELIGIBLE for t-shirts and other memorabilia. Sorry, no t-shirt orders for remote attendees this year.

Garb or Costume (Required)

Will you be wearing any garb/costume? Will you be bringing your own, or would you like to wear something provided at the facility (first come first serve, limited "loaners" available)? Appropriate garb/costume would be clothing of a "Tolkienish" or medieval-ish tyle, "elf ears", "hobbit feet", etc. Please keep in mind this is a family friendly, so please no inappropriate images or language shown (such as t-shirts with swear words).

Pre-Convention Schedule (Thursday & Friday)

Everyone is welcome to attend, but the convention itself "officially" begins Friday 4:00 pm pm. Anyone signing up for the pre-convention, will be expected to help out with setup in some capacity (making last minute character sheets, setting up tables, post news updates on the website, moderate chatroom and prepare online gamers, prepare handout packets, etc.), but we often take breaks for fun, chat, movies, food, gaming, and more. Use the CTRL key to select more than one.

Convention Schedule Day 1 (Friday)

Post-Convention Schedule (Sunday & Monday).

This is the post-convention sign up. Everyone is welcome to attend, but the convention itself "officially" ends Sunday 6:00 pm so that participants can catch flights and drive home before their Monday work day. Various events, drawings, movie-clips, additional game sessions, etc. will be taking place, but the primary purpose is to time for participants to "hang out" and talk.

I hereby acknowledge that I am submitting this RSVP with the understanding that I will endeavor to the best of my ability and circumstances, to attend this event. If it turns out that I am unable to attend this event as registered, then I will contact the event organizers ASAP by using the online RSVP form, or direct email, or by phone. I understand that this event is in no way associated with, condoned or approved by, in any way, any of the multitude of copyright/trademark holders in the morass that is the J.R.R. Tolkien intellectual property. This event is in no way associated with the Tolkien Estate, Tolkien Enterprises, New Line Cinema, Sony, Saul Zaentz, Decipher Inc, ICE – Iron Crown Enterprises, Wizards of the Coast, Hasbro, or any other intellectual property claimants. This is merely a get together of a number of role playing gamers/friends, wishing to have an academic discussion about, and role play in, J.R.R. Tolkien's Middle-earth.

Accommodations and Provisions (Required)

I understand that I must provide for my own travel, food, and lodging arrangements. Resource information may be provided by the event organizers when possible, but I understand it is ultimately up to me to take care of my own provisioning. All discussion and gaming-related material WILL be supplied by the event organizers (paper, pencils, dice, rulebooks, etc.), but food, drinks, etc. may or may not be available at the event location, so it is up to me to provide my own food or drink for myself before, during, and after the events.

Alcohol or Drugs (Required)

I understand and agree that no alcohol, or illegal drugs will be permitted on the premises. I also understand that bringing any such substances, or coming to the event under the influence, will mean summarily being ejected from the event and escorted off the event property.

Event Organizers Not Liable for Incurred Costs Due to Event Changes or Cancellation. (Required)

I understand and agree that the event organizers are in no way liable for any expenses I may incur related to this event, even if the event is canceled at the last moment (however unlikely), that the event organizers are in no way liable for any costs incurred, including travel tickets, hotel/motel fees, gasoline, etc.

I understand the event organizer's privacy policy is to not use my contact information for any other reason than contacting me about this event, or internal research information regarding participant demographics (kept anonymous from the public) and that my information will NOT be disseminated to any other sites.

Commitment Level. (Required)

Please state the likelihood of your follow through on attending this event. Please note that only those who select "Fairly Firm" or "Committed" are likely to have completely prepared character sheets based on their preferences and are the only ones guaranteed seating for gaming events. Anyone selecting "Tentative" or "Wishful Thinking" will probably have to use a "generic" pre-generated character and may not be guaranteed an available seat, unless you contact us at least TWO WEEKS BEFORE THE EVENT BEGINS verifying you will be attending. This allows the volunteers sufficient time to process your data into a prepared character sheet(s).
