Switching to 8.0 version of Merp.com
Greetings, Merp.com 7 is falling apart. we could spend more hours trying to fix the latest problems, or just lock it "read-only" as was done with 6.0, and make 8.0 "go live" now, and put the time into the new site, rather than trying to fix the older broken one.
Version 8 of Merp.com website nearing launch
A lot more work needs to be done to finish moving content from the older versions of the merp.com website, but the new version 8.0 of merp.com is now online, and will soon be "live". All of the content from the previous versions of merp.com is being migrated to the new site. Soon this (7.0) version of the site will be set to read-only mode. You can check out the new version of the site for now at the temporary address: http://new.merp.com:8080

Promotional Material to Demo TOR RPG at local gaming hobby shop
Since Cubicle 7 has been completely unresponsive to my, the local (largest) hobby/gaming stores, and others, requesting promotional material for The One Ring Role Playing Game, I went ahead and created some myself. This includes a 3 foot high sign.
TOR RPG The One Ring Tolkien Role Playing Loremaster LM Screen Draft

The One Ring RPG TOR RPG - Modification to keep dice tray from slipping out and losing dice.
I like the quality of the slipcover, but the plastic tray holding the dice keeps slipping out and letting the dice fall out. I figured out a fairly simple fix for this....
The One Ring - Adventures in Wilderland - Tolkien RPG - Photos of Books, Maps, and Dice
The TOR RPG arrived yesterday in physical form via UPS. Here are some initial photos of the slip cover, books, maps, and dice. My only gripe is that the books are soft cover rather than hardcover. Other than that they are very nice. Enjoy!
Part 2 in the Review Series of The One Ring RPG by Cubicle 7 - Character Creation Process Part 1
This is part 2 in the series of reviews on the new Tolkien RPG The One Ring Role Playing Game Core Rules - Adventures Over the Edge of the Wild. This article provides detailed commentary and detailed step by step instructions on the making of a character for this system. This article covers the first half of the process. The next article will finish the character creation process. This article includes many screen shots of the character sheet each step of the way. I hope you find this useful in determining if you wish to buy the game, but also for those who are new to role playing games, or even veterans, that this helps clarify the process better than the Core Book, due to the book's rather scattered instructions for character creation. Enjoy!

New www.merp.com Portal Server on the way.
We've ordered a brand spanking new, fairly beefy server to replace the aging one. New www.merp.com Portal Server on the way. This just applies to the main portal server: www.merp.com, not the many other servers in the merp.com network worldwide. Once it arrives, we'll get it setup, and copy over from the dev server to the new one.
Hotmail blocking all emails from merp.com without any explanation!
No idea why this suddenly started happening in the last couple days... (circa 2007)
